The Steering Arm Drop Link

The steering arm drop link is taking shape this evening after some more work on the Bridgeport in Northampton (see photo).
I'm sure it was supposed to be 355mm between centres..........but it does look very long.......

The early Mors cars had a beautifully made steering box but only limited movement due to an unusual system of operating the drop arm. They therefore had a long drop arm to compensate and get reasonable steering lock. I believe they modified the box after around 1908.
Your's sounds like an early box and therefore will almost certainly need the long arm.
